Mathieson Capital provides investment to businesses and funds which require capital and additional management expertise to grow.  Preferred areas are in clean technology and non-mainstream commercial property.

Mathieson Capital also invests in early stage businesses and MBOs which have strong management teams developing unique product offerings in growth markets.  For larger investments, Mathieson Capital works with a number of private equity partners, family offices and institutional investors and can structure investments using both equity and debt capital.

Mathieson Capital was founded by Richard Burrell who has a strong track record in creating innovative property funds and start-up businesses both in the private and listed company arenas.  Richard is prepared to join the board of investee businesses and would expect to play an active part within the executive management team or board.  Should an investee business or fund require additional expertise, Richard is able to bring in other individuals or partners to work alongside existing teams.
